This policy explains what DOTs Calculator collects when you use the DOT physical readiness calculator, browse the blog, or contact us. We built this site for commercial drivers who want a quick, private readiness estimate before scheduling a physical with an NRCME-certified medical examiner, and the data handling reflects that.

Health Inputs You Enter

The calculator asks for blood pressure, height, weight, vision, hearing, and diabetes status. These values are processed entirely in your browser. They are not sent to our servers, not stored in a database, and not associated with your name, email, CDL number, or DOT number. Closing the tab clears everything. We never see your readings.

Because this data stays on your device, we are not a HIPAA-covered entity and our tool is not a medical record. The readiness estimate is informational and does not replace the exam performed by a certified medical examiner listed on the FMCSA National Registry.

No Accounts, No Personal Profiles

DOTs Calculator does not offer user accounts. We do not collect names, phone numbers, employer information, Social Security numbers, CDL numbers, DOT numbers, or medical examiner certificate numbers. If you email us, we only keep the content of that email for as long as we need to respond.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics or Plausible) to count page views and see which guides drivers find useful. These services do not set tracking cookies, do not build cross-site profiles, and do not capture IP addresses in a way that identifies individuals.

Advertising

We may display ads through Google AdSense to keep the calculator free. Google and its partners may set cookies to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized ads at Google Ad Settings or via the Digital Advertising Alliance. We do not share any calculator inputs with advertisers because those values never leave your browser in the first place.

Cookies and Local Storage

Our site uses a small cookie only to remember your theme preference (dark or light) and, where applicable, your cookie-consent choice. Third-party advertising or analytics providers may set their own cookies as described above. You can clear cookies at any time from your browser settings.

Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA)

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data held about you. Because we do not collect personal data through the calculator, most requests are directed at the third-party services listed above. If you emailed us, write to the address below and we will delete the correspondence on request.

Children

This site is aimed at adult CDL holders and applicants. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We update this policy when the site changes. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
